As a special day trip for March we will take a 4 ½ hour multi-media sightseeing bus tour that highlights Brooklyn’s famous neighborhoods, parks, landmarks and movie locations. Included with the tour is the award winning, Neapolitan-style pizza from Grimaldi's ( where there's NO waiting on line) and legendary Sicilian-style pizza at L&B Spumoni Gardens in Bensonhurst . The tour departs from the area of Union Square , Manhattan at 11 a.m.  The cost is $75.00 per person.

We will visit the Statute of Liberty and Ellis Island on Tuesday, April 27. Due to security restrictions each person must buy their own ticket online to reserve a space. Go to www.statuecruises.com to purchase your reserve ticket for the ferry. There are no fees for Ellis Island or the Statute of Liberty other than the ferry ride. You may decide between four ticket options depending on whether or not you want to climb to the crown and/or chose an audio tour. The reserve tickets give you priority to the security check which saves waiting time. The cost of your ticket will depend on the option chosen.

Reserve a space on the 10 a.m. ferry departure from Liberty State Park. Once you have purchased your ticket, e-mail Eileen Ware at nnshinterestgroups@gmail.com and let her know which option you have chosen. Car pools will be set up from Eileen's house leaving at 8:30 a.m. based on the option you have chosen because departure times may vary. Don't forget your cameras and good walking shoes.
