Happy New Year!  The Newcomers & Neighbors Board would like to wish you a most wonderful 2012.  A new year is a fresh beginning and an original start – a great opportunity to get out of a rut and open a new and more interesting chapter in your life. Our Club begins the year with a full program of tempting activities and outings and we hope you will enliven your new year with an NNSH activity that you haven’t tried before.  Be sure to read your Welcome Mat each month for information on upcoming new outings and activities as well as all our regularly scheduled interest group happenings.  The 2011-12 Directory, which you received in November, provides all the contact information you will need to enjoy what NNSH has to offer.  Visit our website at www.SomersetHillsNewcomersClub.com for updates on all our events.  One of our Club’s resolutions for 2012 is to put more photos on our Facebook page, so be sure to join us there (Newcomers & Neighbors of Somerset Hills, NJ) to see what’s going on!

We start off 2012 in a big way with our lively and fun New Year’s Toast.  We look forward to seeing you at our sixth annual celebration of the New Year on Saturday, January 21 at 7 p.m.  There will be delicious food, music, singing and dancing.  Special thanks to our gracious hosts Carol and Mike Rosenberg for welcoming us into their home for this event.  Come help us celebrate 2012!

As you know, NNSH is run fully by volunteers.  The Board is made up of both recent and long-term residents of the area, but we all share the desire to make new friends and welcome newcomers to our area and our Club. I thank each member of our Board and each Interest Group Chairperson for their contributions to this organization and for helping to enrich lives with fun, interesting and educational opportunities.  We will soon start the recruitment for the Club’s 2012-13 membership year and I urge you to consider joining us on the Board.  If you think you might be interested in joining the Board, or helping the Club in any way, we welcome you to attend one of the Board meetings scheduled in the next few months and check us out.  Contact Sheila Miller for more details.  Our NNSH Board is a friendly group and we tend to do a lot of socializing together – it makes serving on the NNSH Board a lot of fun.

Best wishes for a great year with Newcomers & Neighbors in 2012
- Sheila
Newcomers and Neighbors of Somerset Hills needs volunteers like you to keep the club and its various activities going.
The quickest way to feel a part of the community is to jump right in and get involved and we would love to have you join our Board.
The time committment is very minimal but the rewards are great.
